According to the Swiss ITB boss David Ruetz travel trend is clearly towards Asia, especially Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand.

In these countries the luxury compartment is expanded as a precaution for example by the Centara Group, a leader in Asia's luxury hotels. In parallel the low-cost segment sets of in Asia. Asian countries are increasingly discovered by so-called "Flashpacker": people who traveled in their youth with a backpack through a country and come back years later, together with their family.

Another trend that is discernible in Berlin: the Arab world.
In the Emirates the prices of the super luxury lodges literally shrunk. Sometimes a night costs 300 instead of 1000 USD.
