Symbols in Buddhism

The day begun with a very interesting lecture on Symbols in Buddhism. Statues, thankas (rolled paintings), etc. in tibeltian Buddhism are porters of a profound symbolism, that go above pure artistic aspects. With the background of the Buddhist teachings, the meditation utilities help to recognise the nature of mind. During the lecture the most prominent symbols were presented and explained. Very great lecture, learned a lot and enjoyed it.
