  3. Hi, the price over here in Germany is very tough. To get the iPhone without contract, it costs up to 1300 USD. With a two year contract from a mobile provider it cost between 50-300 USD, depending of the kind of contract to choose.

Regarding the antenna I can not say much yet, as I just received it today. So far it is working totally fine, no problems at all. From friends I have, who also use the iPhone 4 already now for a while, I know that they never experienced any problems at all.

Regarding use in Cambodia, you need to consider that the iPhone 4 does not accept the usual sim card, it needs a so called micro sim card, which is smaller as the usual one. Dont know if any provider in Cambodia offers such micro sim cards, but it is possible to cut the normal sim card into the size needed for the iPhone and than this card is also working fine.

  4. Thanks for your answer!
I still wonder about the type of contract you mentioned. Contract with company that sells iPhone or with the company that provides mobile service?
"With a two year contract from a mobile provider it cost between 50-300 USD" : Is it an installment? Is the phone officially unlocked?

  5. You are welcome, in case of any questions, feel always free to post them. The contract is with a mobile provider, over here in Germany it is T-Mobile. The phone you get with a contract from T-Mobile is locked and can so far I know for two years only be used with a T-Mobile sim card, after two years it can get unlocked. And depending on the contract with T-Mobile, people pay every month a fee for the mobile phone and data service. They offer different kind of contracts in different price levels, depending on the phone and data usage. Besides this they offer also monthly flat fees, meaning unlimited call and data usage. So people who decide to get a iPhone together with a contract from T-Mobile pay once 50-300 USD for the device and than for two years the monthly fee for their mobile contract they have chosen. Besides this it is possible to get unlocked iPhones from different Resellers, who import them from countries within the European Union, where there is no exclusive contract between Apple and a mobile provider, but as mentioned before, these phones cost than up to 1300 USD to get them.

  7. Yes, thats true, also more expensive than in other european countries. But in Germany the iPhone 4 is not sold by Apple, as it is sold exclusively by the mobile provider T-Mobile. Thats the reason why the price for a iPhone without lock and without T-Mobile contract is so high, as people can only get it from very few phone shops, who import it from outside Germany.
