Life is affected by habits. The impressions in mind color each action. What you do is rarely controlled by consciousness and awareness. Things on the outside, like actions or speech can be influenced -- to change the inner, mental basis however, requires deep methods. If you apply Buddha's teachings they will change your life towards a more joyful state of mind.
