Not for happiness by Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse

Really enjoyed reading this book a lot, as it is written in a very fresh, modern style and explaining in a great and straight forward way the foundational practices (Ngondro). But it is not a book for a beginner, some knowledge is necessary and especially the reader should be able to differentiate the shared explanations of this book with the practice of his own lineage. But the author wrote in a excellent style which is not causing confusion and even explains the Ngondro differences of the different Buddhist traditions and lineages. I have learned a lot from this book and treasure the amount of wisdom and the really modern style. Maybe for those who plan to begin a second Ngondro a nice book with some great inspirations. But as the author recommends keep an eye on the Ngondro of your own lineage and keep your practice pure
