Picture of the Day: Berlin Wall- 25th Anniversary of the Fall of Berlin's Wall

I was not here in Berlin when the fall of the Berlin's Wall on 9th November 1989, which had separated mothers and children, brothers and sisters, husband and wife, and so on, from 1961 till 1989. My god, it is unbelievable 28 years of separation and desperation. On the 25th Anniversary of the fall of the Wall, the German government and country as a whole celebrate this freedom and Germany as a united country.

It is Sunday and the weather is not quite nice as Saturday when the blue sky is all over. But that does not bother me at all. I want to witness and feel how it would be like. Just be a part of the event, I can really feel the emotions of the people here especially the Berliners who had struggled in the past with such a history. Many people, older and younger, are coming all over. It was not so crowded at the noon time when I was at the Brandenburg Gate. The stage is still decorated and the people just walk around. The white balloons are to symbolize the Wall lengths of 15km long. At night, the balloon is to be released into the air. I talk to a few German friends of a bit younger generation like mine. They were kids during the Wall, but does not feel absolute frustration like their parents. When we talked about their history, it is quite emotions for them to speak it but they are so happy that it was over and now they can live in the freedom.
